Solaris SPARCstation 690 rugged file server provides tactical users witha total system solution when combined with Solaris' rugged workstations.SS-690's 22 MIPS of computational power and system design flexibility canbe enhanced by utilizing a broad selection of VME cards integrated bySolaris' team of hardware and software specialists dedicated to meetingthe most demanding system application requirements.Solaris SPARCstation 690 can be further enhanced with the addition of VXand MVX Visualization Accelerators when configured as a SolarisSPARCstation. Available as commercial, off-the-shelf Non-DevelopmentalItems (NDI), Solaris rugged file servers and workstations aremanufactured to be used in C3I mobile (Mil-E-4158), airborne (Mil-E-5400), and shipboard (Mil-E-16400) applications. "Designed to meetTEMPEST" (NACSIM 5100A) and EMI/RFI (Mil-Std-461B), Solaris rugged fileservers are being used in severe environments in which standardcommercial equipment cannot survive.
